Gladesville is one of the earliest European settlements along the Parramatta River, with land grants from 1795. Our walk will include the earliest buildings along Victoria Road which, as the Great North Road, from 1832 was the main route to the Hunter Valley settlements. We will also walk down Wharf Road to the site of the first post office and ferry wharf past some of the original gentleman's villas which were built in the 1860s on William Billyard's subdivision of John Glades original land grant.

Join us at a cafe from 9.30am to meet your fellow attendees and enjoy a drink paid for by the HHA.
