Join experts Matthew Holle (Anzac Memorial), Tim Proust (Naval Historical Society of Australia) and Dr David Thomas (Cranbrook School) on a stroll from Lyne Park to Cranbrook.

Rose Bay was prominent during times of world war and our two-hour tour takes in many of the historic sites to hear the stories from the past.

  • Imagine the sight of RAAF, US and other allied flying boats coming and going from the Rose Bay water airport during World War II
  • Learn more about the shelling of the Eastern Suburbs by enemy submarines in 1942
  • Hear about Cranbrook when it was State Government House between 1901 and 1917, and described as “one of the most splendid private edifices of the Colony”

'Wars of the Rose' is the third in our series of 'Walking Woollahra', proudly supported by Woollahra Council’s Grants Program.
